The artist is represented by the esteemed UNIX Gallery in New York City. She has had four solo shows in the US, one museum exhibition, one auction, and has exhibited at major art fairs in New York City, Miami, Singapore, Hong Kong, Aspen, and Houston.
Renowned for her meticulous process, the artist produces only 4-5 paintings annually. Over the past decade, her primary market prices steadily increased, climbing from an average of $3,500 in 2010 to $28,000 in 2022. With some of her pieces peaking up to $45,000, reflecting the growing demand for her work.

Dutch contemporary artist Ellen de Meijer (b. 1955) paints portraits of modern-day archetypes, capturing the essence of our collective struggles and deceptions.
Recurring themes in her work include status and power, loss of emotion and authenticity, innocence, resistance, climate change, consumerism, competition, technology, and material wealth.
Ellen de Meijer's artwork has been featured in exhibitions at Art Miami and prominent fairs across the USA, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands. In 2022, her work was selected for NADA Curated by the New Art Dealers Alliance. Her pieces are housed within the esteemed VanDenBroek Foundation, one of the Netherlands' top three private art collections.

The archetypes depicted in the artist's portraits are her observations of society's harmful social structures and conventions, which, according to her, significantly impact our future generations.
